Master Key Experience, Week 24 - Trust Your Own Wings

“This above all: to thine own self be true.
And it must follow, as the night the day -
Thou canst not then be false to any man."

Sound advice from Shakespear's Hamlet. Be true to your own self. The trickiest part is to figure out who you really are.

WHO are you?
Who ARE you?
Who are YOU?

The teachers of the Master Key Experience have created an environment for self-discovery, and we the students have thrived and grown in that environment. We have found ourselves.

"The meaning of life is to find your gift.
The purpose of life is to give it away."

With the MKE I have found my gifts, and I now know HOW to give them away and be of service. So stay tuned ....

With the MKE I have also learnt to seek within with daily meditations for my answers. For my answers.

Ralph Waldo Emerson writes in his essay Self-Reliance  that depending on the rules and regulations of society to dictate our lives, limits our ability to explore our true selves. As we age, we lose bits of our true selves in favor of conforming to the norms and expectations of society.

Remember the story of the golden Buddah? That's where our journey began ....

We are nearing the end of this course, this six months journey. But this is not the end. It's just the beginning of a much longer journey. A lifelong journey.

Fly well, my friends. Fly well.

I'll be back again next week with another blog post.

In deep gratitude
to our teachers, the staff,
guides, all my fellow students,
and beloved Mastermind partners

PEACE
be the lifelong journey

Master Key Experience, Week 23 - Effortlessly!

When you harness the forces of the Universe and become aligned with them, all the things you do will be easy. In other words; when you live your true major purpose, what you desire comes to you - effortlessly!

Law of Least Effort promises you effortless ease when you apply the principle of no resistance.  No resistance means that we accept the things we cannot change, stop fighting against what is happening, and stop worrying about the future. Life can be unpredictable, but forcefully trying to control the outcome of events is fighting against what the universe has in store for you.

Applying the Law of Least Effort means living each day with:

1. Acceptance

2. Responsibility

3. Defenselessness

Acceptance:
I will practice Acceptance. Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur. I will know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. I will not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total and complete. I accept things as they are in this moment, not as I wish they were.

Responsibility:
Having accepted things as they are, I will take Responsibility for my situation and for all those events I see as problems. I know that taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation (and this includes myself). I also know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise, and this alertness to opportunities allows me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit.

Defenselessness:
Today my awareness will remain established in Defenselessness. I will relinquish the need to defend my point of view. I will feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view. I will remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to any one of them.

By accepting this moment as it should be, by taking responsibility for how you feel (having the ability to change how you feel) and by not defending your point of view, your energy is unlimited.

When you follow the path of non-resistance you will experience happiness and bliss as your life flows with effortless ease. Your intentions are released with detachment from the outcome; you trust the process of the Universe to give you what you need when you need it - effortlessly!

PS: This post was written mainly by using the cut & paste method (i.e. quite effortless), using various sources ... I still cannot type much, but I wanted to share what I'm thinking about this week :-)

Relax. It's all good!

PEACE
be the journey

With Love,
Bibi

A song for YOU! ♥

I first shared this song with a fellow MKE student. After watching the intro video for Week 22a I decided to share it with all of my fellow students (and I did, below Mark's intro video in the members' area).   Here it is again - for anyone who needs to hear this message. YOU can be the greatest - you ARE the greatest! ♥

Master Key Experience, Week 22a - My First Silence Retreat

This week I’m trying something I’ve never done before, I’m going into silence for three days.

I first looked for a place to rent this weekend, but I’ve decided to stay at home. My cozy house has a 180° view up and down the river that runs into the sea, and I always find it so meditative looking at the view. In the evening I will turn off all the lights indoors so that the only lights I'll see are those from houses across the river. During the day I will go for walks in nature not far from my house. Perhaps I'll drive out to one of the large beaches on the south side of my island and just look at the waves ...

My dog will stay with my boyfriend at his place this weekend; he has already picked her up. I will miss her company, but I think I need to be completely alone this first time. Maybe she can join me the next time I do this.

I do not know what these days of silence will mean for me, what I will find. I am trying not to have many expectations other than that it will be good. I am used to being alone and I am used to not talking for a whole day, other than sweet comments to my dog, but I am not used to complete silence. I’m used to listening to music, listening to the Master Key recordings and similar. I'm not really that active on social media (i.e. nobody will notice that I'm gone), but I'm used to being active in the Alliance area and reading other MKE blogs, as well as being active on Marco Polo (perhaps not daily), and I'm also used to sending and receiving a lot of Snaps, several times a day ... But hey, I can do without for a couple of days. I'm not attached to my phone at all, I sometimes forget to turn it on anyway, and whenever I leave the house I forget that there is this thing called the Internet. I'm just not used to being without lately, that's all. I'll be FINE. Djiiz, it's only for a couple of days! I grew up without access to any of these devices....

I have told those who I am in contact with the most that I will turn off my phone and Internet  on Friday morning (after a planned Zoom call) and I will stay in silence until the MKE webinar on Sunday, which starts at 21:00 my local time, but I won't turn my phone on till Monday morning. My boyfriend is the only one who has permission to come over if, and only IF, there is an emergency that I need to know about before my silence is over.

Some say it might take more than 24 hours to quiet our "monkey brain's" inner chatter, but I honestly don't think it will take me that long. I'm used to long sits/meditations and usually my brain quiets within a few minutes. I have therefor decided to start my silence with a long sit. Perhaps I should set the alarm at 3 hours, just in case I fall asleep ... Oh, rats - I don't have an alarm other than on my phone! Oh, well. If I fall asleep, no biggie.

When they first told us about the silence retreat on the webinar, I felt excited and could not wait! I found my calendar right away and wrote 'silence' on the first three available days. Oddly enough, this week I have felt some fear about this upcoming silence, and in analysing what I’m afraid of the only conclusion I've come to is that I worry that it won’t be as fantastic as the stories we heard from previous members and the guides. I worry that nothing will happen at all, other than me getting bored ... Yikes! I'm never bored! Maybe that's exactly what I need ........

I'll let you know how it all went when I'm back next week.

Remember my previous post? Some of you commented that you noticed my persistence in writing a blog post in spite of the tendinitis in my wrist. I guess you are right! I AM persistent and I have promised to blog once a week. The way that I have written this post is by using the record function on my phone’s email, sent the email to myself, opened it on my laptop and then copied the text over here. I often use that funtion to send text messages, and I'm impressed by the technology, of how accurately it types what I say. I've only had to edit a handful of words and punctuations.

Master Key Experience, Week 22 - Mind Weeding 101

The tendinitis in my right wrist is still painful, as I mentioned in last week's post. Since I cannot type much, I will quote some passages from my readings this week. I think you can figure out why these are important to me right now ....

The first paragraphs will be familiar to my fellow MKE students as they're all from the Master Keys, Part 22:

"If there is any physical condition which it is necessary to change, the law governing visualization will be found effective. Make a mental image of physical perfection, hold it in the mind until it is absorbed by the consciousness. Many have eliminated chronic ailments in a few weeks by this method, and thousands have overcome and destroyed all manner of ordinary physical disturbances by this method in a few days, sometimes in a few minutes.
The objective mind has certain effects on the body which are readily recognized. Someone says something to you which strikes you as ludicrous and you laugh, possibly until your whole body shakes, which shows that thought has control over the muscles of your body; or someone says something which excites your sympathy and your eyes fill with tears, which shows that thought controls the glands of your body; or someone says something which makes you angry and the blood mounts to your cheek, which shows that thought controls the circulation of your blood. But as these experiences are all the results of the action of your objective mind over the body, the results are of a temporary nature; they soon pass away and leave the situation as it was before.
Let us see how the action of the subconscious mind over the body differs. You receive a wound; thousands of cells being the work of healing at once; in a few days or a few weeks the work is complete. (...) You may become infected with a dangerous germ; the subjective will at once commence to build a wall around the infected area and destroy the infection by absorbing it in the white blood corpuscles which it supplies for the purpose.
These processes of the subconscious mind usually proceed without our personal knowledge or direction, and so long as we do not interfere the result is perfect, but, as these millions of repair cells are all intelligent and respond to our thought, they are often paralyzed and rendered impotent by our thoughts of fear, doubt, and anxiety."

I know what I need to do, how I need to think. I am doing my best and I will get healed. My arm IS healing as we speak. I just need to be a little patient ... (no pun intended).

The next paragraphs are from a book that my friend Gavin recommended during one of our Mastermind calls. 'As a Man Thinketh' is a self-help book by James Allen, published in 1903. The title is influenced by a verse in the Book of Proverbs, "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he".

The original text of 'As A Man Thinketh' is in the Public Domain. The text I have copied below is an excerpt from a revised version by Christopher Westra, and you can read the entire book on his web site (link opens in a new tab). You may also order the book here (free shipping world-wide).

"Your mind may be likened to a garden. This garden may be intelligently cultivated or allowed to run wild; but whether cultivated or neglected, it must, and will, grow something.  If no useful seeds are put into it, then an abundance of useless weed-seeds will fall into it, and will continue to produce their kind.
A gardener cultivates his plot, keeping it free from weeds, and growing the flowers and fruits that he requires. So may you tend the garden of your mind, weeding out all the wrong, useless, and impure thoughts. Cultivate toward perfection the flowers and fruits of right, useful, and pure thoughts. Thus you will grow in truth, intelligence, and light.
By pursuing this process, you sooner or later discover that you are the master-gardener of your soul, the director of your life. You also reveal, within yourself, the flaws of thought, and understand, with ever-increasing accuracy, how the thought-forces and mind elements operate in the shaping of your character, circumstances, and destiny. Thought leads to character. As character can only reveal itself through environment and circumstance, the outer conditions of your life will always be harmoniously related to your inner state.
This does not mean that your circumstances at any given time indicate your entire character. It does mean that your outer conditions are intimately connected to some vital inner thought processes. Some of these thoughts and beliefs may be below the level of your current awareness. You are where you are in life because of the laws of thought. The thoughts that you have built into your character have brought you here.
In the arrangement of your life there is no element of chance, but all is the result of a law that cannot be broken. This is just as true for those of you who feel "out of harmony" with your surroundings as for those of you who are contented with your place in life."

I am a gardener of my own mind and I continue to weed .... and I know that I will succeed. Rome was not built in one day, nor will my weeding be finished overnight. But I persist and I have the weeding tools I need, thanks to the Master Key Experience, my Mastermind partners and dear friends.

I am very lucky to know you all and I'm deeply grateful.

Master Key Experience, Week 21 - Short Break

I can't help but wondering what I'm doing wrong, but I also know it's not helping to think that way. Instead, I need to focus on the outcome I want, which is to be completely healed.

Until that happens, I can't type much due to a returning tendinitis in my right wrist. Since I must prioritise, the little typing I CAN do will happen inside the MKE Members Area to support my fellow students.

The wrist is but a small part of my body, the rest is working just fine and I'm very grateful for that! One of my PPN's is True Health and it has been manifested in miracelous ways, both mentally and physically! My right wrist might need a pause, but the rest of my body keeps improving :-)

Master Key Experience, Week 20 - Don't Poke my Comfy Dome!

For many years, my main goal was to protect my Comfort Zone

- or my Comfy Dome, as I called it.

I had created a safe place for myself, and hearing that 'learning happens outside of your comfort zone' rubbed me in all kinds of wrong directions. I could learn just fine inside my Comfy Dome!

And I was right. You can learn things inside your comfort zone.

And I was wrong. There is a limit to how much you can learn if you stay within the boundaries of your comfort zone ...

......................................... but I was okay with that.

This is how I imagined my "comfy dome" - a safe haven for me to live and be happy. Everything was just fine

Just fine??

I had been telling myself that lie for so long, I believed it. Hey, I liked being comfortable!  Who doesn't?

But how comfortable could I actually be when I was scared shitless of everything outside my own little "Comfy Dome"??

It was indeed little. The world outside of my dome was the scariest place I could imagine:

Did you hear what I just said? "The scariest place I could imagine.". Imagine being the key word!

The scary place was inside me, not out there!!! It's all about perception, and in my mind I had created so much fear that it held me back from living an amazing life.

I was a prisoner of my own mind.

"Fear is a powerful form of thought. It paralyzes the nerve centers, thus affecting the circulation of the blood. This, in turn, paralyzes the muscular system, so that fear affects the entire being, body, brain and nerve, physical, mental, and muscular." (Charles Haanel, Introduction to Part 19 of the Master Keys)

I know the above is true; I ended up being physically ill. I was not only trapped in my own mind, but in my own body ... all because of fear. Fear that I had created with my own thoughts. I didn't know any better. Or perhaps I did. But I didn't dare to know any better....

Enter the Master Key Experience.

I will be forever grateful to have learnt that we can expand our Comfort Zone, and that we can do it an inch at a time - by gently nudging it, not leaping off the side of the edge. (Been there, done that! Only to fall flat on my nose. I felt like I had taken seven steps forward, then 10 back!!)

Every day since I enrolled at the Master Key Experience in September, I have expanded my comfort zone - nudging it with one easy task at a time. Small steps to create new habits, not at all scary, but amazingly effective!!

The Three Zones:

The comfort zone is where your day-to-day, routine work happens – where you’re on auto-pilot. It’s easy, there are no surprises, and you are confident in what you do. However, very little learning or innovation takes place, and you can become unmotivated, bored and disengaged. Most of us need some days in the comfort zone, when we have the calm and head space to reflect on our experiences and then step back into the stretch zone to apply that learning.

The learning zone - aka stretch zone lies just outside of your secure environment, slowly expanding your comfort zone by becoming more familiar with more things. The more you stretch, then return to the comfort zone and reflect and apply, the more you grow.

The panic zone is also known as the stress zone. Your energy is used up by trying to control your anxiety, leaving little or no energy left over for learning. Sometimes you may need to enter this area because of a problem, but you should not stay there long, as it can be harmful to your health.

(Excerpts from an article by Emma Heaps, Nov. 2017)

=========================

What would the person I intend to become do next?

When I ask myself that question, this is my answer:

She would continue to nudge and nudge until her comfort zone had expanded even further. Then she'd nudge it again, and again. She would be courageous! She would be curious to see what she could accomplish, how she could be of service on this glorious planet if she continued to nudge that edge, gently, respectfully, with self-compassion. She would get rid of her so-called "Comfy Dome" once and for all and replace it with an actual Comfort Zone, where she would relax and apply what she had learned. Then she'd do it all over again and enjoy the journey like the true hero that she is.

I have used the lion analogy in a previous post. Sometimes I might feel like a tiny kitten, but I know for a fact that I am strong and powerful, like a lion! The person I intend to become lives inside of me.

She is me.

Remember:
we are ALL powerful beyond measure!

Master Key Experience, Week 19 - Nothing To See Here!

Don't believe everything you read in the headlines. There IS something to see here.

In fact there are THREE things to see, three very different documentaries that I am glad that I watched! So much so, I'm going to watch them all over again.

The first two were documentaries recommended by our teachers at the Master Key Experience:

Let's start with Finding Joe

In the early 20th century, while studying world mythology, Joseph Campbell discovered a pattern hidden in every story ever told and he called it “the heroes journey”. A truly inspirational film, FINDING JOE takes us on the ultimate heroes journey: the journey of self discovery. As you slay dragons and uncover treasures, you just may find that the holy grail you seek is closer than you think.

This documentary helped me understand even better what I'm going through these days, on my own journey within  while taking the Master Key Experience.

You may buy or rent 'Finding Joe' here:
https://findingjoethemovie.com/shop

I Am: A documentary written, directed, and narrated by Tom Shadyac. The film asks the question: "What is wrong with the world, and what can we do about it?", and explores Shadyac's personal journey after a bicycle accident in 2007.

Watch 'I Am' for free on Vimeo:

Part 1: https://vimeo.com/182109151
Part 2: https://vimeo.com/182110003
Part 3: https://vimeo.com/183059165

Last, but not at all least, here's a several episodes documentary that has left me in AWE, namely One Strange Rock.

Hosted by Will Smith, One Strange Rock is a thrilling journey exploring the fragility and wonder of our planet, one of the most peculiar places in the universe. It's the extraordinary story of why life exists on Earth, brought into perspective by the only people to have left it behind: astronauts.

This series was filmed in 45 countries (including my own, Norway), on six continents, and from outer space. It reveals the twists of fate that have allowed life to thrive on Earth and how we are all connected in many surprising ways.

Whatch it here: One Strange Rock premiered on National Geographic in 2018. It was released on Netflix in 2019. In the USA, it left Netflix for Disney+ in January 2020. You can also find it on Prime Amazon.

"In the physical world there are innumerable contrasts, and these may for convenience sake, be designated by distinctive names. There are sizes, colors, shades or ends to all things. There is a North Pole, and a South Pole, an inside and an outside, a seen and an unseen, but these expressions merely serve to place extremes in contrast.
They are names given to two different parts of one quantity. The two extremes are relative; they are not separate entities, but are two parts or aspects of the whole." (Master Keys, Part 19)

Till next week,

PEACE
be the journey
